Leah and Sam’s elegant romantic wedding

It wasn’t just the action on the track that got Leah and Sam’s hearts racing when they first met at the Adelaide Cup.

The pair met through mutual friends in the members area and got talking over Leah’s race tips.

“Towards the end of the day, we decided to place a small bet on one of my dad’s tips together. It was one of the last races for the day and it won and then the rest is history,” Leah, 35, says.

Sam, 30, popped the question on Christmas Eve 2016 and the Adelaide couple began planning their elegant romantic wedding.

The couple wanted to put a modern spin on tradition, and held their ceremony at St Laurence’s Catholic Church, North Adelaide, before the reception at Donatos Reception Centre.

The celebration was held in 35-degree heat on March 10, 2018, surrounded by 350 family and friends.

The couple treated their guests to a six-course meal and Leah even organised ballet flats to ensure all the ladies could keep on dancing.
